The Claims department is seeking a highly motivated and career minded individual to join their team as a Senior Bodily Injury Adjuster. As a Senior BI Adjuster, you will be responsible for the investigation, evaluation, negotiation and resolution of tort claim files. You will arrange a number of resources to prepare the claim for defense and resolution (lawyers/adjusters/police/accountants/engineers) of assigned files as well as develop accurate and timely reserves to meet the financial obligation of all claims. You will also participate in mediation/arbitration proceedings to resolve claims, ensuring you adhere to file management protocols including report to file expense controls, vendor management protocols and ethical practices.
Job Requirements :
You will have a minimum of 3-5 years Bodily Injury claims handling experience including enrollment or completion of the CIP, and/or post-secondary education. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills along with strong organizational and decision-making abilities are essential. Strong knowledge in handling meditations, pre-trials, and trials is an asset. Your expertise in file preparation, and demonstrated ability to negotiate a file to resolution will ensure your success in this role.
